Galeria Szkła (the Glass Gallery) exhibits a private collection of several thousand glass products from all over the world. Admission free. The Glass Gallery is a private collection consisting of several thousand glass and other antique products, sought-after for their fancy colours, forms and manufacturing technique. The gallery is located in a private apartment and contributes to the prestigious ambience of the offices of the company Karpatka.pl.
The owner of the exhibition is Dorota Dedo-Wawrzyniak, resident of Kołobrzeg, collector of antique artefacts, who has been saving ancient wonders from oblivion for several years. Therefore, you will not find any new items here, the youngest ones are 30 years old, and the oldest come from the nineteenth century. Of course, most of the products are made of glass: vases, jugs, bottles, jardinières, chalices, plates, bowls, carafes, candlesticks, paper weights, and many artistic forms, as well as hanging and standing lamps, various kinds of unique decorations and many other interesting everyday articles. For several centuries, many well-known and valued glassworks have operated around Karpacz. Their products have found customers all over the world and are still in high demand, however, most of the glassworks do not exist anymore and the number of glass items is getting smaller by the year. In the Glass Gallery, you will find several thousand products from factories that no longer exist. The Gallery is willing to exchange glass items with other collectors.
