Pracownia Witraży Antoniów (Antoniów Stained Glass Workshop). Its focus is on renovation, reconstruction and design of stained glass and lighting. Shows and workshops upon reservation. The studio has been run since 1990 by Beata and Marcin Chlebowski. The name refers to its location which is the picturesque village of Antoniów in the Jizera Mountains. From the very beginning, it has had the formula of a studio, i.e. all works are made to order.
The studio's activity is a combination of design, art, craftsmanship and conservation work. In its projects, it uses the oldest historical stained-glass technique, dating back to the Middle Ages. These are works of stained-glass painted with contour paint, patinas, enamels, fired in a furnace at high temperatures and mounted into lead slats. Also, the over 100-year old Tiffany method, as well as the mixed technique and glass mosaic are used. Separate areas of the studio's work are maintenance and reconstruction of stained-glass windows, for which the studio has a licence, and the design and the production of lamps.
Antoniów studio also conducts educational activities disseminating knowledge on stained-glass art, it is open for tourists, it organizes workshops and shows, cooperates with local cultural institutions and associations, and is a member of the Polish ARS Vitrea Polona Association of stained-glass artists and stained-glass enthusiasts.
